The first month at MCG is over!! I cannot believe that it's already been one month since I started my new school. There have been a lot of things changed since I started at MCG. I met so many people and created new friendships. I got involved in a campus ministry and hope to continue this for four years at MCG. Georgia Health Science University has changed its name again to Georgia Regents University. I learned that medical college is much harder because they try to cram semester worth materials in 2 weeks, but I also learned to enjoy my free time and try not to isolate myself. On the other hand, there are some things that never change. First, I still have so many awesome friends in Augusta that I am so thankful for. My church recently did a photoshoot of all the youth/college members. We had to write down what we wanted to be or do in our future. While doing the photoshoot for the church anniversary, my friends and I just took a random group photo and I realized that it has been nine years since I first met them. Grace and Shinae, my two best friends, have always asked me, "how did we become friends in the first place?" I personally don't remember how we became friends but I'm certainly glad we did. I really hope to be friends forever. Second, my friends at Tech continue to keep in touch with me. They continually encourage me to walk towards God even though they are 140 miles away from Augusta. I cannot wait to visit them on September 21st!! Last but not least, my family is so awesome. From grandma who always asks me if I'm hungry to my sister who supports me, I am blessed with great people in my family. All in all, everything is going well. Most of all, I was somewhat afraid that I wouldn't be able to find a community at MCG where I would be able to grow in my faith. But God proved me wrong by providing such great friends who are encouraging others in their relationships with God.
